#2 Winter Shelter Building with Kaykima Wilderness

Come learn how to use snow and natural materials to build a winter shelter and add to your survival skills!  Rob, our instructor is wonderful at engaging different ages, so this is open to ages 6-18.  

Dress

Please come dressed appropriately for the weather that day, for working with snow; it will only be cancelled in the event of extreme cold.  

Parents and Siblings

Parents and younger siblings are welcome to stick around the park, but they request that we as parents allow our students opportunities to learn through failure and resist the temptation to step in and help them!  Also please consider how you will occupy any younger siblings in attendance, and what weather dictates for dress.  That being said, this can also just be a drop-off event, no need for parents to stay!  

Arrival

Plan to arrive about 5 minutes early to make your way to our meeting place. 

Registration Deadline is February 20, 2022.

Waiver

By registering for the Roots Gym program, I understand that TFH society and its branches Roots Home Education/The Father’s House Christian School, at all organizational levels, will not be held responsible for accidents, injury, loss or damage to an individual or any individual’s property. I agree the applicant/s are in good health and able to participate in the physical activity of this program. In the event the applicant is injured, I give permission for a staff member or parent volunteer to seek medical attention.
