2025 Kick Off Party - Calgary

We would like to invite all Roots families to join us for a fun afternoon of fellowship,

petting some farm animals from Butterfield Acres, school photos and a BBQ. 

Roots will provide hotdogs, chips, ice cream, and drinks, for everyone to enjoy.

During registration you will be asked how many hot all beef hotdogs each attendee will want.

We ask that families would please sign up for either a small fruit or veggie tray.

School photos have been a huge hit in the past, so we are bringing it back again this year. In order for school photos to be taken you MUST SIGN UP  for a time slot by September 17th at 9am. Only 1 student per line can have photos taken, sign up each student individually. Family photos will not be taken, do not ask at the event.

Schedule:

2:00pm arrival

2:30-4pm school photos (must sign up in advance for a time slot)

2-4pm petting zoo

4 -5:30pm supper is served

6:30pm clean up

What to Bring:

• folding chairs or a picnic blanket to use while eating supper, there is limited chairs and tables outdoors

• dress appropriate for the weather this event is solely outdoors

• outdoors games

Crossfield Baptist Church has a large playground and outdoor toys for younger children to play with and a large open field to older students to play games.

• This event is only open to ROOTS families.  

• Registration deadline date:

   Wednesday September 17th at 9am

• Are younger (non-participating) siblings welcome?

  Yes the whole family is invited to attend 

• Arrival Time:

  2:00pm

• Should you no longer be able to attend, please notify Tammy via email TammyE@Rootshomeed.com or via text at 403-616-1381 by Friday September 19th at 5pm.

WAIVER

On behalf of my child, I/we hereby waive and release the Roots Christian Home Education Fellowship, The Father’s House Christian School and any Roots volunteer/facilitator/administrative staff of the Roots Christian Home Education Fellowship from any liability to my(our) children. I/We are fully aware of the risks and potential for harm involved in such events, and on behalf of our child, release from liability Roots Christian Home Education Fellowship (Roots), The Father’s House Christian School and waive any claims such minor may have as a result of an accident, mishap or negligence of the Released Party and/or and other party under or affiliated with the Released Party.

I acknowledge that I, the parent/guardian of the registered attendee/s agree to stay on site at the venue of the program, and oversee my child/ren for the duration of the program.
