Apple Creek Golf Lessons - Wednesdays (Airdrie)

Lessons will be taught by the Head Golf Professional and are designed for beginners or those with basic skills. 

These classes will run on May 10, 17 & 24 with May 31 being used as a back up date for any preivous classes needing to be cancelled. Should all classes run as scheduled then a 4th lesson will be given on May 31st.  The goal is to run 4 classes but due to weather cancellations, there may only be 3 lessons provided. 

A brief overview of what will be taught:

● Discuss the different parts of the golf club

● Safety Procedures and Protocols

● Full Swing Fundamentals: grip, stance, posture

● Short Game Fundamentals: Chipping, putting

Golf clubs will be provided for those who do not have them for lessons.

Meeting location for each class:

Day #1 - Meet in banquet room, inside main doors and to the left - leave your golf clubs outside the clubhouse.

Day #2, 3 & 4 - Meet outside the main entrance to the clubhouse.

Tournament

After the lessons finish there will be a golf tournament in early June at 6pm. The cost for the adults to join in on the tournament (parents are required to join their students) is $22 to rent the power cart. Parents who just want to drive the cart for their student still need to pay the parent fee and need to be with their student during the tournament.

Final date and registraiton will be determined closer to the end of May.

Maximum number of students: 10

Minimum number of students: 6

Dates:

Class #1 Wednesday from 1:00pm - 2:00pm (May 10, 17, 24, May 31 will be used as a reschdeule date or as an extra class if the weather cooperated for previous lessons)

Class #2 Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30pm  (May 10, 17, 24, May 31 will be used as a reschdeule date or as an extra class if the weather cooperated for previous lessons)

Registration Deadline Date: April 14, 2023

Cost:

For guarnateed 3 week program - $43.00 / student

Waiver:

By registering for the Roots Gym program or other  activity that requires physical exertion, I understand that TFH society and its branches Roots Home Education/The Father’s House Christian School, at all organizational levels, will not be held responsible for accidents, injury, loss or damage to an individual or any individual’s property. I agree the applicant/s are in good health and able to participate in the physical activity of this program. In the event the applicant is injured, I give permission for a staff member or parent volunteer to seek medical attention.

I acknowledge that I, the parent/guardian of the registered attendee/s agree to stay on site at the venue of the program, and if space allows in the classroom to oversee my child/ren for the duration of the program.  Should I not be able to stay at the venue with my child/ren, a handwritten note with my signature will be sent with my child and given to the program organizer, stating the adult who is staying on site and has agreed to be responsible for my child/ren for the duration of the program.
