Edmonton Kick-Off Party!

We want to celebrate a new school year with you!

All Roots families are invited to kick-off the new school year by joining us at Ross Haven Bible Camp for an afternoon filled with fun, food, & fellowship!  Come prepared for school pictures, hay rides, bouncy castles, archery, go-carts, skeet shooting, Taco in a Bag, and SO much more! 

***We are asking all families to bring a food item AND volunteer for one 30-60 minute time slot***

• This event is only open to ROOTS families.  

• Recommended Ages: All ages

• Arrival Time: 12:45 pm

• Registration deadline date: Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 11:59pm

SCHEDULE:

Doors Open:  12:45pm

Bouncy Castles:  1-4pm

Axe Throwing:  1-4pm

Zipline (ages 7 to 180 lbs):  1-4pm

Slack Line: 1-4pm

Family Archery (adult supervision required; equipment to be picked up at Tuck Shop; recommended ages 8+):  1-4pm  

Hay Rides (leaving from the dining hall every 30 mins - 1:30, 2:00, 2:30, 3:00):  1:30-3:30pm

Tuck (Candy) Shop (for purchase):  1-4pm

Requires Pre-Signup:

School Photos Start (available until 3:00pm):  1-3pm  (Photo Sign-Up)

Fire Building (ages 5+): 1:00-2:00pm

Bannock Making (ages 5+): 2:00-3:00pm  

Go-Carts (ages 8 to 150 lbs):  1:30-2:30pm  

Skeet Shooting (ages 10+, w/ parent present):  3-4pm

Clean-Up:  6:30pm  (sign-up to help)

REMEMBER TO BRING THE FOLLOWING:

• Outdoor weather-appropriate play clothes (kids);

• Sunscreen/bug spray;

• Outdoor lawn chairs and/or picnic blanket to sit on;

PARENTS' HOUSEKEEPING

1. Parents are responsible for transporting and supervising their children at all times.

2. Each child is encouraged to bring a labelled water bottle, as water fountains will not be available.

Students: Roots reserves the right to make final decisions regarding the acceptance of any student into the program. Students who do not demonstrate an attitude of cooperation and willingness to respect the rights and property of others will be dismissed after two warnings are issued. There will be no refund.

WAIVER

On behalf of my family/child(ren)/self, I/we hereby waive and release the Roots Christian Home Education Fellowship, The Father’s House Christian School, any Roots volunteer/facilitator/administrative staff of the Roots Christian Home Education Fellowship, and the venue and owner(s) of the venue for this event from any liability to my(our) family/child(ren)/self. I/We are fully aware of the risks and potential for harm involved in such events, and on behalf of our family/child(ren)/self, release from liability Roots Christian Home Education Fellowship (Roots), The Father’s House Christian School, any Roots volunteer/facilitator/administrative staff of the Roots Christian Home Education Fellowship, and the venue and owner(s) of the venue for this event, and waive any claims my family/child(ren)/self may have as a result of an accident, mishap, or negligence of the Released Party and/or and other party under or affiliated with the Released Party.

I acknowledge that I, the parent/guardian of the registered attendee/s agree to stay on site at the venue of the event, to oversee my child/ren for the duration of the event.
