Edmonton Year End Party

All Roots families are invited to join us for a year-end party, just east of Edmonton! Please note that a pin of the location will be sent to you after registration (the address doesn't always work on Google maps).

We will be having a low-key outdoor evening of food (burgers to be supplied by Roots), lawn games or sports, and connecting.

DETAILS

• This event is only open to ROOTS families only.  

• Recommended Ages: All ages

• Arrival Time: 5:00 pm

• Registration deadline date: Monday, June 9, 2025 at 11:59pm

We will be gathering outside at the back of the property - please follow the driveway and park in the back. We will not be using the house.

This location has a lot to do, including a long zipline, a trampoline, a playhouse, a tire swing, a basketball hoop, space for ball (street) hockey, four disc golf nets, and a large enough space to play a full soccer or baseball game.

• Should guests bring anything?

  • Outdoor lawn chairs and/or picnic blanket to sit on;

  • Sunscreen/bug spray;

  • Outdoor weather-appropriate play clothes (kids);

  • Any lawn games or sports equipment you would like to play with others; and

  • A salad/side/dessert to share (a sign up will be emailed to you after registration).

PARENTS' HOUSEKEEPING

1. Parents are responsible for transporting and supervising their children at all times.

2. Each child is encouraged to bring a labelled water bottle, as water fountains will not be available.

Students: Roots reserves the right to make final decisions regarding the acceptance of any student into the program. Students who do not demonstrate an attitude of cooperation and willingness to respect the rights and property of others will be dismissed after two warnings are issued. There will be no refund.

WAIVER

On behalf of my family/child(ren)/self, I/we hereby waive and release the Roots Christian Home Education Fellowship, The Father’s House Christian School, any Roots volunteer/facilitator/administrative staff of the Roots Christian Home Education Fellowship, and the venue and owner(s) of the venue for this event from any liability to my(our) family/child(ren)/self. I/We are fully aware of the risks and potential for harm involved in such events, and on behalf of our family/child(ren)/self, release from liability Roots Christian Home Education Fellowship (Roots), The Father’s House Christian School, any Roots volunteer/facilitator/administrative staff of the Roots Christian Home Education Fellowship, and the venue and owner(s) of the venue for this event, and waive any claims my family/child(ren)/self may have as a result of an accident, mishap, or negligence of the Released Party and/or and other party under or affiliated with the Released Party.

I acknowledge that I, the parent/guardian of the registered attendee/s agree to stay on site at the venue of the event, and if space allows, to oversee my child/ren for the duration of the event.  Should I not be able to stay at the venue with my child/ren, a handwritten note with my signature will be sent with my child and given to the program organizer, stating the adult who is staying on site and has agreed to be responsible for my child/ren for the duration of the program.
