Fermenting Basics- Calgary

Fermenting fun for the entire family! Roots families, friends, other family members are all welcome. 

Due to overwhelming response, this will be a demo class.

THE EVENING CLASS HAS BEEN CANCELLED - The morning class is the only class available.

You will learn how to make basic ferments like sauerkraut, kimchi, fermented carrots and cauliflower and a few other options. I will talk about the history, health benefits and do’s and don’ts of fermenting. There will be lots of time for questions. There will be samples to try too. 

Bring a pen or pencil to make notes if you wish. There will be a handout for everyone with recipes. If your kids taking the class are under the age of 18 parents need to be present and will need to purchase a ticket. If you are unsure if you can make it until day of, tickets will be on sale at the door.

The event will take place  in the basement fellowship hall

• Cost $10/person payment will be collected at the door - methods of payment are cash, square or e-transfer

• Recommended Ages: ages 7 and up

• Open to all roots families and friends

• Are younger (non-participating) siblings welcome? no

• Arrival Time: 10-15 minutes prior to the start time of your class

• Cancellation Policy: the event is open, walk ins welcome, payment will be taken at the door for all attendees

WAIVER

On behalf of my child, I/we hereby waive and release the Roots Christian Home Education Fellowship, The Father’s House Christian School and any Roots volunteer/facilitator/administrative staff of the Roots Christian Home Education Fellowship from any liability to my(our) children. I/We are fully aware of the risks and potential for harm involved in such events, and on behalf of our child, release from liability Roots Christian Home Education Fellowship (Roots), The Father’s House Christian School and waive any claims such minor may have as a result of an accident, mishap or negligence of the Released Party and/or and other party under or affiliated with the Released Party.

I acknowledge that I, the parent/guardian of the registered attendee/s agree to stay on site at the venue of the program, and if space allows in the classroom to oversee my child/ren for the duration of the program.  Should I not be able to stay at the venue with my child/ren, a handwritten note with my signature will be sent with my child and given to the program organizer, stating the adult who is staying on site and has agreed to be responsible for my child/ren for the duration of the program.
