Just for the Dads: Get Fired Up About Family Worship

Finally, one for the Dads! Grab your hot sauce and salsa, and join us for a Saturday morning designed to encourage and equip you to lead meaningful family worship in your home - no seminary degree required.  Family worship isn’t just something the “Super Christians” of church history did. It’s biblical, practical, and attainable - straight from the pages of Scripture (Psalm 78; Psalm 145). And yes, it’s for regular dads with busy schedules, noisy kids, and limited musical ability.

Join us for a relaxed Saturday morning led by Elias MacDonald, pastor and Roots father, designed to encourage and equip you to lead your family spiritually with confidence. Over breakfast burritos and good conversation, we’ll walk through the simple, biblical building blocks of family worship:

• Reading Scripture

• Singing (even if you can’t carry a tune)

• Prayer

• Plus a helpful intro to catechisms, with recommendations you can trust

  
  

Pastor Elias will share personal testimony, practical wisdom, and book recommendations - and his family will be there too, ready to help field real-life questions.

We’ll tackle honest questions like:

• Do I have to be a theologian to do this?

• How long should family worship actually take?

• Does it have to be every day?

• How do I find time after work and before bed?

• What if my kids won’t sit still or pay attention?

• What about single-parent homes or homes with one unsaved parent?

  
  

This is a no-pressure, guy-friendly morning focused on encouragement, not guilt. You’ll leave with a clearer vision, practical tools, and renewed confidence to lead your family - imperfectly but faithfully.

• Should guests bring lunch? Please bring salsa or hot sauce to share
