Kids Run Wild! Family Orienteering - Edmonton

Come discover the outdoor sport of orienteering! Orienteering is an outdoor athletic activity using a map (and sometimes a compass) to navigate point to point in diverse and unfamiliar terrain. Participants are given a specially designed topographical map which they use to find control points.  Builds map and geography skills, while running and playing outdoors.

This program is perfect for anyone interested in learning to orienteer or looking for a reason to spend more time outdoors as a family.  The Alberta Orienteering Association offers Kids Gone Wild throughout the year in Edmonton parks, and is coming out to Gold Bar Park to run a special session just for us. We will have a quick warm up game and then take to the park to complete the activity in our family groups. This session will be fun for everyone, from your youngest to oldest.
