About the Event

Physical literacy and positive recreational experiences lead to a healthier, happier life. Through participating in our programs, students gain confidence to stay active for life. Let's make movement fun!

There are two options available (both run at the same time, at the same facility):

MINI MOVERS (Kindergarten to Grade 2), flexi-hall gym 3:

Welcome to the world of movement! In this creative program, students will have fun navigating the world of obstacles and dance. Students will develop their physical literacy through fundamental movement skills by challenging themselves in various obstacle courses and dance movements. Through imaginative play and self-discovery, students will enhance their physical and social skills while increasing their self-confidence.

OBSTACLE FIT KIDS (Grades 3-6), multi-purpose room 6:

Experience fitness in a fun and safe way. Students will learn body awareness, balance, and basic strength training through obstacles, relay activities, and circuits.

PARENTS' HOUSEKEEPING

  1. We need your assistance in ensuring that your children are at class on time and picked up at the end of each session on time. This allows the classes to start in a timely manner.

  2. Parents are responsible for transporting and supervising their children at all times while the child is not in class.

  3. Parents are responsible to stay on site at the venue during class time in case of an emergency.  Should you not be able to stay, a letter with the parent signature, stating who is responsible for your child in your absence (an adult staying on site), must be given to the event organizer.

  4. There are no refunds past the registration deadline unless a class must be cancelled due to lack of student enrolment.

  5. Each child is encouraged to bring a labelled water bottle, as water fountains are not always available.

Students: Roots reserves the right to make final decisions regarding the acceptance of any student into the program. Students who do not demonstrate an attitude of cooperation and willingness to respect the rights and property of others will be dismissed after two warnings are issued. There will be no refund.
