Mixed Media Art Classes NEW DATES (Calgary)

This 6-week Mixed Media Art Class will include – watercolours, oil pastels, felt markers, pens, pencils, pencil crayon single week and multi week projects as well as touching on a bit of art history. These classes do not have a technical focus but rather are an opportunity to have fun and enjoy the creative process.  Students will take home each project as it is completed.

Please Note: Supplies are not included in this class other than the required papers; students will need bring their own supplies to each class.

Supply List: Pencils, eraser, sharpener, charcoal, oil pastels, felt markers, pencil crayons, pan watercolours, scissors, glue, paintbrushes, ruler and a painting smock/apron.

TIME

There are two classes available:

• Ages 5-8  11:00am - 12:00pm
• Ages 9-12 12:15-1:15pm

Dates: Tuesdays January 23-February 27, 2024

**IMPORTANT NOTE: There is NO CLASS Feb 6th due to Roots Support Meeting**

DETAILS

• This program is open to Roots families and their friends
• Registration deadline: January 14, 2024
• Recommended Ages:  5-8 and 9-12 years old (older students can join the 9–12 year-old class if they would like to)
• Please wear clothes that can get dirty!
• Should guests bring a lunch? Yes, if needed.
• Families and younger (non-participating) may wait on-site, but not in the class.
• Arrival Time: 5 minutes before class start time.
• Cancellation Policy: No Refunds. You can exchange your spot if you find someone else to take it.

PAYMENT

To use your family funding for your registered Roots students, please use the code MMAC24 at checkout. Please create separate orders for non-Roots students.

WAIVER

On behalf of my child, I/we hereby waive and release the Roots Christian Home Education Fellowship,The Father’s House Christian School and any Roots volunteer/facilitator/administrative staff of the Roots Christian Home Education Fellowship from any liability to my(our) children. I/We are fully aware of the risks and potential for harm involved in such events, and on behalf of our child, release from liability Roots Christian Home Education Fellowship (Roots), The Father’s House Christian School and waive any claims such minor may have as a result of an accident, mishap or negligence of the Released Party and/or and other party under or affiliated with the Released Party.

I acknowledge that I, the parent/guardian of the registered attendee/s agree to stay on site at the venue for the fine arts week, to oversee my child/ren for the duration of the program.  Should I not be able to stay at the venue with my child/ren, a handwritten note with my signature will be sent with my child and given to the program organizer, stating the adult who is staying on site and has agreed to be responsible for my child/ren for the duration of the program.
