Lift tickets will be handed out at this time. Ski patrol will provide the safety briefing at 8am. After the safety briefing anyone requiring rentals will follow the Rental’s Team Leader to the rentals building. Families that are not present by 8:00am for attendance when tickets are handed out may miss their ski lesson and may not be allowed to ski.

  • Neither Nakiska, Roots Home Education, nor the organizers can be responsible for late arrivals.

  • We are looking for a non skiing parent who can stay on site and be available if anyone needs assistance after 8:00 am. If you are willing to do this, please contact the organizer as soon as possible. This person will be given a Roots name tag to wear to help identify them.

  • If anyone has any questions or concerns after 8:00 am, please speak to the designated Roots volunteer, as Nakiska will no longer have your lift tickets and is not responsible for late arrivals.

  • All parents will be required to act as chaperones to support Roots students on the hills or on site at Nakiska when they need support.

Each parent is responsible to ensure that they read and understand the attached safety Briefing and explain it to their children.

All families must read page 12-17 of the Ski information Pack (above); and print, fill out, sign, scan and email page 13 back to janice.bland@gmail.com by Friday December 20th in order to participate. Please choose the appropriate ski level and binding type found on page 14 and 15 of the booklet.

Please note that the information you complete on this form must match everything that is selected online in order to ensure that you receive the proper rental equipment.

RENTALS:

  • Adult rental packages include skis/board and boots (adult rentals do not include a helmet, but are available for rent for an additional $5).

  • Student rentals include a helmet, skis/board and boots.

  • When under instruction, poles will be issued to Ski Levels 4 & 5 ONLY

  • Any additional services, such as binding adjustments, will be charged for by the rental shop.

  • When the Group’s Coordinator receives the tickets, anyone with rentals will have a label on their ticket that has their name and a number. This number is associated with all their equipment in rentals that has been preset based on the information they provided. When going to receive your rentals, you will be asked to form a line in numerical order according to the number on your ticket. For the process to go smoothly, you must only enter rentals in that order.
