About the Event
Celebrated National Geographic Explorer and photographer Brian Skerry has spent nearly forty years exploring and documenting Earth’s oceans. For his latest project, he turns his lens to one of the world’s most beloved animals—whales! Students will dive into the lives and culture of these ocean mammals. Discover the extraordinary communication skills and intricate social structures among different species of whales and learn what these majestic creatures can teach us about ourselves and our planet. Themes: ecosystems, ocean, STEAM, exploration.

- Please Arrive by 9:45. We must go in as one group. Please look for me (Tanis) holding the Roots sign inside the first set of doors at the Jack Singer Concert Hall
- Duration: Approximately 45 minutes in duration with a question period afterwards that is about 10 minutes long
- No Food or drink is permitted inside the theater
- No Refunds
- Suggested Grades: 3-12 (Grades 1 – 2 are welcome, but the venue suggests grades 3 – 12)
- No younger siblings, please
