About the Event

In this fun and interactive program, participants enjoy a private tour of Sea Life Caverns—home to more than 100 species of fish, reptiles and amphibians, as well as our African penguin colony—and get “hands-on” with starfish, anemones, and other invertebrates. Your group also receives a private presentation about an animal of their choice by one of our Animal Care staff.

Meeting Place

A Marine Life representative will meet you at the waterfall area behind Marine Life Information Centre 10 minutes prior to the start

of your program. This ensures that your program starts promptly at its scheduled time.

Before Program Starts

Please take children to the washroom; we do not have restroom facilities in Marine Life.

Arrival

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to the program start time to allow for any unexpected delays. Late arrivals will result in a shorter

program. The closest restrooms are located by Fantasyland Hotel’s Lobby or in the Food Court by Urban Behavior.

Participants who arrive later than the scheduled start time will be unable to join the group until the group is in the Sea Life

Caverns or taking their seats in the grandstand for the sea lion show.

Supervision

Stay with your group at all times. This means all participants of the program must notify the Marine Life staff that they need to

leave the group. The guests will be escorted to a public area. Please note that once the participant has left the group, the participant

will not be to rejoin the group unless the group is in the Sea Life Caverns or the sea lion show.

Follow Directions

All participants will follow directions given by Marine Life staff. Remain in your seats and refrain from talking during presentations,

talking in the background is often a distraction for the animals and the children. You may be asked to assist the staff in holding and

closing doors and supervising the group while in Sea Life Caverns. As we enter Sea Life Caverns and the sea lion show, you will be

sharing the area with paying patrons.

Animal Interaction

For the health and safety of our animals, please do not tap on enclosure windows and absolutely nothing (food or otherwise)

should be thrown into animal enclosures unless specifically instructed by Marine Life staff. Children are not to bring toys and bouncy

balls with them as this is a choking hazard for our animals.

No Food/Drinks

We have a very strict no food or drink policy in all of our areas for the health and safety of our guests and animals.

Allergy Alert

Please note that students will be handling shellfish during this activity, anyone with shellfish allergies should not attend.

Dress Code

Adults and children should wear closed-toe/backed footwear due to walking, stairs and slippery wet floors.

No Wheelchair Access

Please note that Sea Life Caverns is neither wheelchair nor stroller accessible, please call or email to check for modified program

opportunities.
