About the Event
Early Literacy meetings are designed to support emerging readers. Families can meet together for the opportunity to hear engaging, read-aloud stories and activities led by a literacy teacher. Children will be able to sing songs that focus on letter sounds and phonemic awareness, explore rhyming words, letter games, crafts and engage in centres-based play for the development of fine-motor skills. This program is also suitable for children who are learning English as a second language (ESL).
