Thornhill Spring Swim Lessons June 3-7 (Calgary)

Students will receive 5 swimming lessons 30-45 minutes each in a one week period.

Completion of the Swim Ability Form is required to be submitted to the Roots office (TammyE@rootshomeed.com) by the registration deadline date of May 21st. 

Suitable for ages 4 and up, for Roots Families only.

Please note the varied instructional start times for the swimming level. There are limited lifeguards available for each pool, so only 4 levels can be accommodated at each time slot.  Note that in order to maintain instructor/ student ratios there are limited tickets available for each swimming level.

Students will be taught the Swim to Survive Program ** note that this is a change in program from the winter swim lessons which followed the Swim for Life program. 

Preschool Age 4-5: 9-9:30am 30 minute lesson - $31.00

Preschool Age 4-5: 9:30-10 am 30 minute lesson - $31.00

Preschool Age 4-5: 10-10:30 am 30 minute lesson - $31.00

Preschool Age 4-5: 10:30-11 am 30 minute lesson - $31.00

Preschool Age 4-5: 11-11:30am 30 minute lesson - $31.00

Grades 1-3: 9:15- 10am 45 minute lessons - $34/student

Grades 1-3: 10-10:45 am 45 minute lessons - $34/student

Grades 4+: 9:15-10 am 45 minute lessons - $34/student

Grades 4+: 10-10:45 am 45 minute lessons - $34/student

NOTE: If you have students that are not with Roots or they are a non-funded K student, you will need to register them on a seperate registration than the Roots students as this coupon code works on the order as a whole.

Dates:

Daily Monday June 3 - Friday June 7th 

Please arrive and be ready for your lesson by the start time. Swimmers are asked to not shower on the first day, as students will need to be split into groups from the pool deck.

Registration Deadline: Monday, May 21, 2024 at 10am

Refunds cannot be given past the registration deadline date.

DETAILS

Dress: Have your child dress appropriately for swimming class. Students need to be in swimming suits and long hair pulled back off the child’s face. 

Parents Housekeeping:

1. We need your assistance in ensuring that your children are at class on time and picked up at the end of each session on time. This allows the classes to start in a timely manner.
2. Parents are responsible for transporting and supervising their children at all times while the child is not in class.
3. There are no refunds past the registration deadline unless a class must be cancelled due to lack of student enrollment.
4. Parents are allowed to stay and watch in the viewing area only, parents are NOT allowed on the pool deck. 
5. Parents are asked to watch non-participating children at all times, do not let children run around the building or climb on the viewing area railing. 

Students: Roots reserves the right to make final decisions regarding the acceptance of any student into the program. Students who do not demonstrate an attitude of cooperation and willingness to respect the rights and property of others will be dismissed after two warnings are issued. There will be no refunds.

Health Concerns: The registration asks for student’s personal health information, so staff can adequately prepare any necessary modifications to their program. Note that this information will be passed on to class instructors to be used only for the purpose of instructing physical education classes safely. The onus is on parents to provide adequate information about the special medical needs of their children.

Waiver:

By registering for the Roots Gym program or other  activity that requires physical exertion, I understand that TFH society and its branches Roots Home Education/The Father’s House Christian School, at all organizational levels, will not be held responsible for accidents, injury, loss or damage to an individual or any individual’s property. I agree the applicant/s are in good health and able to participate in the physical activity of this program. In the event the applicant is injured, I give permission for a staff member or parent volunteer to seek medical attention.

I acknowledge that I, the parent/guardian of the registered attendee/s agree to stay on site at the venue of the program, to oversee my child/ren for the duration of the program.  Should I not be able to stay at the venue with my child/ren, a handwritten note with my signature will be sent with my child and given to the program organizer, stating the adult who is staying on site and has agreed to be responsible for my child/ren for the duration of the program.
